Have you tried reinstalling?

Please be a little more specific about your hardware and drivers. I think the video information is especially interresting in this case.

Yeah, I tried reinstalling it 3 times, even on different hard drives, still same problem. I have a pentium II 500 mhz machine, 128 mb, not sure about the video card, it might be a voodoo or something of that equivalent. I know my computer should be able to run this game in it's entirety.

Ok, to check what displayadapter you have do the following.

1. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
2. System -> Device Manager (make sure you don't see any question marks or errors in the device manager).
3. Displayadapter -> Properties.

Get the latest drivers for the adapter at www.reactorcritical.com. (You might wan't to rummage around in the Device manager to find out about installed hardware)

Try adjusting the monitor itself,
if your moving around in the menu then it's
working, the display maybe wrong, try playing
with the shrinky, stretchy thingy on the monitor itself.

Ummm.... What game?

Hey. I had that Problem on my Voodoo5 a bit ago and a ATI card downstaris. The voodoo5 problem was caused by a outdated model that wasn't supported in the latest Point Relase and with the ATI card i had to get the Newest and i mean NEWwest drivers for quake3 to work right. Try to find out what vid card you got. Would help greatly.
Right Click ne where on a open space on the desktop. Click Properties
Go to settings. Should tell ya there.
