Well.. What kind of computer do you have? I found that with my Voodoo3-3000 TV that it is wicked. I have a PIII-733 EB Coppermine 128 Meg of PC-133 Dimms. Voodoo 3-3000 And i get 71 FPS in a timedemo on Quake with all the details on highest in 800x600. If i went higher i would get about 60fps.

I thought my V3/2000 was wicked with my PIII650 ................ till I put in a Geforce2. 90+ at 1024x768 and all the eye candy on. The V3 is a good card but if you want the best, go with a Geforce2 or maybe the V5

Well. My card only cost me $150. So i got a good deal. If i had the money I would of got a V5. But i didn't. Plus I know so many people with NVidia cards and have switched to a 3dFX chipset. The reliabilty in my experiance is much better. And cheaper in most case. Id also rather a card that gave me everything. 3dfx/Opengl/ALl the MS APIS. : ) Just my opinion.

I had a banshee once...
glide has become obsolete, so i bought an Nvidia BECAUSE 3dfx still has blurry, oily textures, even with the Voodoo 5 the "true" trilinear is not great.
Just look at the old q3 test rocket smoke..
But 3dfx was the first to go 64mb, which is very cool.

I can get up to 195 frames per second since I overclocked my Voodoo 3 2000 .

Somebody has to set you monkeys straight... It's 32MB per processor, so it can only hold 32MB of textures. This is the same thing ATI did with their RAGE FURY MAXX, each chip needs it's own memory since each is calculating the scene individually. V5 sucks rocks. It might have been alright, if it were released when it was supposed to be- that is a year before, but NVidia has come ahead in technology. By the way, NVidia has bought all of 3dfx's patents(and thus essentially the company) WooHoo! no more VooDoo! Geforce2 is available in 64MB DDR, and is you wait a little while, NV20 cards will be out with 128MB DDR... l8r.
