I recently picked up the game and I have downloaded all the patches and things like that. I was wondering if you guys could tell me some good things to download that would make the game more fun. Like MODS, files, anything would help since I uninstalled all my other games on my HD. And is there a way to use filters for servers (like in Half-Life) so it will be easier when I am searching for games? Thanks for any help.

Heres a good list of mods for Quake 2 http://www.planetquake.com/quake2/features/motw/

I personally like Kick, Jail Break, GXmod, Action Quake2 and a lot of others. The only thing that sucks is that their isn't a whole lot of mod servers running.

If you haven't go download gamespy and use that for filtering out Quake2 servers, it can filter by ping, game type, etc.
