i recently purchased quake 2 asia-pacific version and when i try to install it i get the error message-- THIS VERSION OF QUAKE 2 HAS NOT BEEN OPTMISIED FOR THIS LANGUAGE VERSION OF WINDOWS 95/NT, and the installation aborts. i am from INDIA and am using win 98, in US english. i have a celeron 300a computer with 160mb ram and 20gd hdd. please help. when i first installed win98 on my computer, during installation , i selected US english as the language to be used. is the problem i am facing with quake2 installation b coz of this?. please help. thanking you, Anil Kumar. two things 1) try changing your win98 language settings to be the same as your quake 2 if that doesnt work 2) you probably need the asian version of win98

Exactly what Destify said, you'll probably need win98 as the same language of your version of Quake 2.
