All you have to do is check your heart beat, play a game of Quake, then check your heartbeat again. Couldn't be any easier.

It's for a student doing an assignment on the effects of video games on your mental state.

I'll have to check it when I get home, does he make a difference between battle hardened veterans and newbies?

I mean I've been playing since DooM, so I guess it's not as easy to get my heart racing as it used to be in the beggining.

I don't think it should matter too much. I've been playing since Doom, too, and playing doesn't give as much thrill as it used to, but then again, I can't get too excited over Q3:A. Give me a one on one game of Counter-Strike or Action Quake2 and my heart rate goes right up there!

First time a played q3a i got to tier 7 and was in a heightened state of awareness for a good hour afterwards!!!
