Hey just wondering... But i should know this myself. hehe. Well i have been using 512 megs of SDRAM now for awhile. I found out that 1 of the 128 sticks is bad. By leaving it in my com would it hurt performance or just sit there doing nothing or would it increase performance to some extent?

If it's not working it should decrease performance, simply because the computer tries to use it, then finds out it doesn't work and that takes valuable time...

If any memory module or any other component in your computer doesn't work...remove it so it cannot create conflicts with hardware that DOES work..

Max.
