I have a little problem with the special jumps of Q3A! In a demo, I´ve seen that someone did a "Strafe-Jump" in Q3DM13 to the Mega Health. I´ve tried and tried, but it doesn´t work. Please help me! Can someone show me more tricks in Quake 3 Arena???

I have struggled with this jump also. I have found running down the hall and approaching from the side works really well. (strafe jump + forward = you enter sideways, prolly a 60 deg angle )
if you are trying to do a straight on jump, jump at the third tile. No strafe needed.

I recommend these settings for trick jumping only as they will introduce LAG if you try them online over a dialup.
set com_maxfps variable from the console to something like 150 or 200, this will introduce local lag and the engine will try to compensate for interpolation by making you jump farther. However while trick jumping may be fun I highly recommend you do a
